JP Medicals Recruitment, a prominent NHS healthcare recruitment agency, is actively seeking a committed Consultant - Community CAMHS Psychiatrist. This role requires GMC registration and offers a substantial position with our client based in London.
 

Job Details:

Salary: £105,504 - £139,882 per annum (Pro-rata)

Contract: Substantive

Hours: Full-time: 10 Programmed Activities (DCC:SPA = 7.5:2.5)

On call: Frequency 1:13; Category A - 3% on call supplement

Main duties of the job

To be successful in your application, you will need:

  • To demonstrate that your values are in line with that of our client's values,
  • To be innovative, motivated, and passionate about mental health disorders in children and young people,
  • Essential understanding of current developments in mental health care,
  • To be a team player
  • Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to children and young people with mental health needs, across Waltham Forest.
  • Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team
  • Work directly with children and young people and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals
  • Participate in the on-call rota frequency is currently 1:13, with a 3% of basic salary, Category A on-call supplement.
  • Support your peers and team leader, and be an effective team member whilst allowing them to work with their own initiative
  • Work alongside CAMHS 2.7wte CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrists, 0.9wte Specialist Grade doctor, 3wte Specialty Doctors, 1wte Higher Specialist Trainee, 1wte Core Trainee, and two part-time GPvTS doctors within the service.
  • Commit to collaborative working, actively supporting and liaising with other health and social professionals, and agencies.

Requirements for Consultant - Community Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Jobs in London

Essential

  • Full GMC Registration with a license to practice
  • CCT or equivalent
  • Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it
  • Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST

Experience

  • At least 4 years of full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time basis) of which at least 2 years will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee or shall have equivalent experience and competencies
